Inbox on the Folders Bar or Inbox on the Outlook Bar or Inbox on the Folders
List?

Is it the Folders Bar that is not working for them?

If so, start off by testing with a new Identity. That way they can rule out
registry settings. Next logical step would a file problem and that is going
to be a bit harder to diagnose.

The spell checker problem being non-existent cpould be anything from a
non-Microsoft product installed for it's ability, a spell check that isn't
compatible or the usual gambit of files and registry settings used and
documented in the KB.

I was looking at all the OP's posts and tried to replicate what he wants to
do. He says that he could click on the Inbox button on the Toolbar and that
would make the folder list appear. Clicking on the Inbox button only brings
you to the Inbox if you are in a different folder and the Folder List is
already open. Which is kind of redundant since it is just as easy to click
on the Inbox as it is the Inbox toolbar button.

I don't know if we are missing something, or he isn't explaining the
situation well enough.

I have to check the box, but I prefer not have an added pane open. And,
I used to be able to open the file list and click opn a file, so why
can't I now? I've already had issues with the disappearing toolbar in
OE6 and the non-existent spellchecker. And, if I look at the microsoft
site none of these thing are dealt with. But if I google groups, I find
lots of people have had toolbar and spellchecker problems. I think I'll
got back to OE5.

You want the pane open but don't want to check the box to keep it open?

That's it. ViewLayoutFolder Bar. One click adds or hides
the folder list. If it doesn't work, I believe you're right
and a new ID would be the place to start.
