Default Page Numbers Out Of Sequence

Greetings! I am trying to create a 5 1/2 x 8" booklet (8 1/2 x 11
landscaped, folded in half, printed duplex) containing 26 printed pages (9
sheets of paper). In order to get the pages to end up in sequential order, I
need (using 2-page spread) to print page 2 with 20, 3 with 24, etc.

I can set page numbers with master page and move them around to appear to
have the correct number, but that backs them up to the wrong facing pages.
If I keep the facing pages correctly, they get numbered sequentially, which
means they'll be out of sequence when printed and folded.

Any ideas?

Thank you

First of all, Publisher booklets work in groups of four. When you use 26
pages you are asking the pages to be out of sequence when you move them
around. Either bulk the booklet up to 28 pages or slim it down to 24.
You can right-click the page tabs and move the pages, you will have the
option to where the page is to be moved. It might be helpful to rename the
pages.
Take a look at *section* in help, while you may not need this information
for your present publication, it will be good to know in future booklet
files.

Default Page Numbers Out Of Sequence

Ok...got 28 pages now. I moved the pages to be backed up to each other the
way I need, and made each page its own section, with the page number I want
as the beginning page number of that section. Now when I try to print, the
print preview shows the two page spreads with different pages than in the
normal view.

Help, please

Thanks

Print preview will show how the booklet will print out. Page 1 will be opposite
page 28; page 2 opposite page 27. There is an icon in Print Preview that will
show multiple pages.
When you create your booklet you are seeing the correct pages together on the
publication page. For example, pages 2 and 3 are next to each other.

Set up and print a letter-sized booklet or newsletter
