Default Macro??

Jane yes it is possible to change the double click behavior on a shape to
open a hyperlink to another document. The hyperlink to the Word document will
need to exist. Select the shape and use Ctrl+k to bring up the hyperlink menu
dialog. In the address box browse to the location of the Word document. When
the browser button is selected choose local file since you want it to link to
an existing file. In order to see the Word file you will need to change the
Files of type to all files. Once linked the name of the file should display
in the box next to the new button. You can use the macro recorder to get an
idea of the code you will need to insert in your macro by starting the
recorder and running through the action of navigating to the hyperlink. By
default once a hyperlink has been added to a shape if you right click on it
the link appears in the menu for the shape. Once you have the macro with
complied code and the drawing saved in Visio drawing then you can change the
behavior of the double click action for the shape. Select the shape right
mouse click format behavior double-click tab select run macro. Choose
the macro in the Visio drawing you want to launch by selecting the right down
arrow button. Once you are done click ok and the Behavior menu dialog should
close. Now when you double click on the shape it changes the outcome from
being able to edit text to running the macro. Note you may get an Office
warning about files can be harmful etc.
