Default Contacts in a Distribution List

Is there a way to create contacts or copy information
from a distribution list where the contacts have been
created by using the "Add New" button and not "Select
Members", in Outlook 2002.

I want to send a personalised email to those contacts by
using the Mail Merge to email function in Word. However,
in the current format, the individual contacts do not
show up.

Many thanks
ELissa

Mail merges cannot use DL's. You would have to have the DL members as
Contacts to do a mail merge. Outlook provides no utility to convert DL
members to Contacts.
In theory, you should be able to save your DL as an RTF file, then use Word
to convert it to a Tab or Comma delimited file. Then you could import that
file into Outlook to create Contacts.
