I have a form where i would like to search for my criteria in a textfield,

What about clicking in the field and using the binoculars icon?

i want the operator to enter the info in an unbound txt box hit the enter key

[Forms]![YourFormName]![YourText] Build an event procedure or macro to open a form base on the query above.
