Default "continued" box in publisher 2007

Last time I used publisher, I didn't seem to have this problem, but this time
I do.
I want more space between the "continued from" text and the body text than
Publisher automatically gives.

I have gone to modify in the styles column, but if I add any points to
"spacing after paragraph" and/or to "line spacing," I get a LOT of space--not
3 pts or half a space but a line space plus some. I've tried over and over.

Can anyone help?
Thanks.

I don't seem to have this issue, I can do a simple return after the "continued
from page..." and the spacing is okay.

You can manually type "continued from page..." Does that help?
