Default Can I distribute/sell PowerPoint presentations?

I am working on a number of PowerPoint presentations about travel and I would
like to burn them to cds and sell them. I am not sure about Microsoft
copyright laws though and would like some clarification. Thanks!

You are asking the wrong place for legal advice. You should be asking a
lawyer not lawyer-wanna-bes!

I have produced and sold products legally, so yes it can be done. It
totally depends on the content and where the content was obtained.

We can do whatever we want with a slideshow and all of the files created
using PowerPoint. We cannot distribute any viewers made by Microsoft or
anybody else and if the slideshow contains copyrighted content we would have
to obtain permissions to reuse the copyrighted content. That's all there is
to it.

Understand that we're not MS employees here and for the most part, not lawyers
either.

But in the umptydozen years that PowerPoint, Word and Excel have been out, I've
never heard of MS taking anyone to task for distributing or selling documents
that they've created with those programs.

Of course, if your presntations contain content authored by someone else, you
need to be sure you have their permission to distribute the work.

you can convert the presentetion to videos.
maybe you can use this software :E.M. PowerPoint Video Converter .
it is an all-in-one PowerPoint to video converter. It can convert
PowerPoint presentations to almost all popular video formats such as
AVI, MPEG, MPEG2 TS, MP4, WMV, 3GP.
