Default SP3 for Office Disables Hyperlinks in Outlook E-mail Messages

After installing MS Office SP3, all Outlook 2003 e-mail messages containing
hyperlinks do not work; i.e. selecting an Outlook 2003 e-mail message
hyperlink will cause IE7 to display my default home page.

Does anyone know of a solution for this problem?

But hyperlinks DO open IE7? It is just that the link info isn't passed
along? What if the ctrl key is held during the click?

No luck.

I tried CTRL+Left Mouse Button, ALT+Left Mouse Button, and SHIFT+Left Mouse
Button to no avail.

I guess that I am going to have to uninstall/reinstall Office 2003.

I got hyperlinks to work. I found quite a few messages that siad to see if
IE is the default browser.

From IE7, select "Tools" menu, then select "Internet Options" submenu and
finally select the "Programs" tab. In the "Default web browser" section, I
selected the "Tell me if Internet Explorer is no the default we browser"
check box. I then selected the "Make default" button.

Hyperlinks now work. IE was always specified as the default. What I
essentially did was reset/initialize it and that did the trick.

Thanks for posting back with your fix. Sounds like the registry entry
got clobbered and the disable/enable toggling set it right.
