Default Use Outlook 2002 (XP) in Win 7?

Any idea if Win 7 will allow an Outlook or an Office 2002
installation?
If so, is there a file which I should save on a thumb drive which
contains my configuration settings?
My data is all on a thumb drive, just interested in my setup, as
configured.

No, only Outlook 2003 and later are fully supported on Windows 7.
There is no hard installation restriction though but you you could run into
several issues such as your password not being remembered between Outlook
sessions.
See http://www.msoutlook.info/question/28

To restore your data from your thumb drive to your local hard disk see;
