As the subject states, I get the following message when trying to open
one of my IMAP accounts under Outlook 2002 SP3:

"Unable to display the folder. Internet Mail is not registered
properly. Please re-install and try again."

I have been able to find posts containing possible fixes for previous
versions of Outlook (some of which I have tried), but not for the
version I am running.

Anyone else experienced this?

A good first step is to re-create the profile that you are using for this.

Matthew:

Thanks for your response. I neglected to mention that I had deleted my
email account settings and re-added them to no avail.

Were you referring to my Win2k user profile? If so, would it be
possible to tweak the registry or implement other fixes? I'd like to
save re-creating the profile as a last resort.

He's talking about your mail profile -- go to Control Panel | Mail | Show
Profiles. You can add a new profile here and then delete the old one.

Thank you for clearing that up. However, it didn't seem to do the
trick. I'm still getting the error about Internet Mail.

BTW, I've tried uninstalling Outlook completely and re-installing it
and service pack 3 and that didn't help either. :-)

As I mentioned in a previous post, Matthew's suggestion did not seem to
have any effect. I would very much appreciate any further assistance
on the issue.

Thanks!
