Printing Book Fold to PDF one page at a time
I just finished creating my book fold booklet (A4 size folded), but I've come
across a problem when printing. I need to create a PDF version for the web. Right now, if I print, the booklet will alternate the pages to be stapled together into a book. But I want a version which is a one-page-at-a-time in sequence, with each page being just 0.5 x A4 in size. Is there an easy way to do that? I have Office 2007 and Adobe Acrobat 7 Professional. |

The simplest thing to do is to make a copy of the document and change the
"Multiple pages" setting from "Book fold" to "2 pages per sheet." This will print the same size pages as your booklet, two-up on a sheet, but in page order instead of booklet order. Unless the document is actually to be printed on A5 sheets, this is a better use of your A4 paper. -- Suzanne S. I personally find the easiest way to print a booklet is to create an A4
document as normal, then save it as a PDF. Use Adobe Reader to print as an A5 booklet as it is much better than Word at doing this. -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "kayko2000" wrote in message ... Hmm, that's not a bad idea. I'll give it a go.
But what I'm concerned about is the font size. For example, if I want to use 10pt font in the A5 booklet, then I need to up that size to ~20pt in my original A4. It wouldn't be terrible, just a little big. "Terry Farrell" wrote: I personally find the easiest way to print a booklet is to create an A4 document as normal, then save it as a PDF. Thanks Suzanne,
I saw your posting on another forum yesterday, and tried it. But somehow my A5 pages ended up cut in half. So I played around with other strange methods, none of which were any good. But I tried again today, and this time, I applied the "2 pages per sheet" to "Whole document", and it worked. So, I guess I'll go with this. Thanks! "Suzanne S. In your case, create a normal A5 document in Word, save it as PDF and then
print an A5 booklet using AR. Terry "kayko2000" wrote in message ... Hmm, that's not a bad idea. I'll give it a go. But what I'm concerned about is the font size. Perhaps you changed the paper size to A5? Don't do that. Leave it at A4,
Landscape orientation. You'll see from the preview picture in the Page Setup dialog that you then get two A5 pages side by side on the Landscape A4. -- Suzanne S.
