A .htm extension also might work, opening in Internet Explorer.

Hello Frank,

I have tried to open my saved .html file with IE,
it did not work, my guess is the Email is originated with OE,
and has to be handled with OE.
I am not sure, I could be wrong.

Use .mht as an extension instead of .htm
(when saving HTML E-mails you want IE to open.)

Hello Robert,

On my "Save Message" Screen drop down Menu,
does not include ".mht" file extension.
All I have is (*.eml), (*.txt) text Files,(*.txt) Unicode, & (*.html).

Is possible to add (*.mht) to the above Menu?

Thanks for Your Help, x@y

I don't know. All I was suggesting was to override the .eml extension
with .mht when you save an E-mail if you want IE to open it.
Works for me. YMMV.

Hello Robert,

I have tried to override the .eml ext., no Luck,
then I have tried the rest of them same result.

For now I will use my workaround as described on this thread,
till something more practical will be available, but I won't bet
on it.

Thanks for Your time, and Advise.

Best Regards, x@y

Try HtmlSnap ActiveX Control. It can download and save html to images
or local folder.
You can download it at: http://www.polestarsoft.com/htmlsnap

Hello Everyone,

I am using Windows XP Pro. with OE. 6.0,

I would like to save one (HTML) from my OE. Inbox
to my Desktop to use later as an Attachment on a NG. Account.

The reason for this is to edit the Sender E-mail Address.
I have tried "Save as" Under the Tab File, all I get just the
text, and where the Pictures supposed to be there are only
"Frames" With a red "x" on top left corner.
Tried to Copy and Paste, same results.

The E-mail is composed of four Pictures, with a text on bottom
of each Picture.

Thanks for Your kind suggestion, x@y

I have visited the Website, and all I can tell
the "HtmlSnap ActiveX Control" Is a Professional
working Tool.

I am a Home Computer User, and if I get more involved
working with Pictures, I will give it try.

I am saving Your URL.
