Default Synchronizing text boxes

I can set and unset synchronization between two text
boxes on different pages, but how do a create such
synchronization in the first place. That is, I want
textbox one (containing an article title) synchronized
with textbox two on another page (containing the same
article title in smaller text.) Then, when I add or
change the content in one box - probably the first - that
in the other automatically changes too.

You cannot create synchronisation directly in Publisher, that is only
available in the Wizards.

What you would have to do is use OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) to the
two Text Frames from a program like Word. If you changed the text in Word,
it would then automatically change in Publisher.

In addition to David's reply, if you were send the file to someone using the OLE feature, you would have to send the Word file along with the Publisher file. In addition, the link would be lost once sent, and the recipient would have to recreate the link to the Word file. But for use on your computer or for print, it should work great.
