My boss wants me to help him with his wifes computer. Every time she tries
to get her email the password log in box comes up. She has not been able to
get any emails since july 15 2008.

I printed an article about the problem from the Microsoft Help site. I
followed the instructions for Outlook 2003 to check the options and look for
the .pst file - but nothing happended.

Is the next option to change the registery? I am taking classes towards
data base admin so I am computer literate, but not familiar with Outlook and
dont want to screw it up.

They are using Outlook 2003 with XP. Any suggestion would be helpful.

Isn't it amazing how people with power so often abuse it? Tell him to have
his wife talk with the Geek Squad at Best Buy.

I don't mind helping him out - and if it is something I can fix, why not I am
getting paid to do so.

Clearly a misuse of company funds.

Not if he owns the company.

Do you have any thing to suggest that will help me or you do you just want
to bash my boss.

If the article you mentioned in your first post is this one:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684/en-us then that's the authority for
how to fix it and I have nothing to add. I was just appalled at your boss's
misuse of his employees.
