format the cell as mmmm dd"," yyyy will give the result,
set it up as a custom format, Format Cells Custom (at the
bottom of the drop down list box) set up your custom
format using one of the existing dates as a start point

I am trying to input dates into a column and I want the

date to appear as "December 31, 2003" NOT "31-Dec-03".
