Printing options 11x17 paper
It would have been nice if the OP had stated the version used earlier and I
probably should have asked that question in my original response rather than having to wait till the next day for her to respond to your post. Don't yet have Pub '07 installed and from what you have said, it might be a long time before I get around to installing and learning it. Sounds like MS might have made using the program more difficult than it was in 03. Not trying to hijack the thread but what are the benefits to 07's print and page setup that weren't there in the 03 version to cause the change (just the printing not the whole program's benefits?) I can't get it (PUB 2003 & Epson 1280 printer) to duplicate the problem you are having even when changing back to a letter sized paper printer or creating on a letter sized paper printer and "upsizing" to US B paper. There is two places to change the paper size in Page Setup. The first place you should change the paper to US B is under the Printer and paper tab after you have selected your ledger sized printer from the dropdown list of printers. Once this is done go to the other tab, Layout, and make sure the paper size went to 11X17. If not click custom and type in the numbers but you shouldn't have to select it as a custom size there if full page is selected and that size is available to the printer. If this doesn't help, let us know what make and model printer you are using. Maybe someone can duplicate it. "Lisa" wrote in message ... Printing options 11x17 paper
I like Publisher 2007. It isn't a lot different than 2003.
The entire page setup and print leaves a lot to be desired. I have solved a lot of the issues with workarounds. It is hard for me to explain to the poster about the print. Maybe I'll put a page up on my web site. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "LVTravel" wrote in message ... Printing options 11x17 paper
I saved the doc as a PDF, then printed to 11x17 paper with no problem. Must
be some compatibility problem with our printer. Thanks for all the help! "Mary Sauer" wrote: Are you getting this even though you are changing it to 11x17 in the File, print? printing issues
Have you solved the poster printing issues with Publisher 2007 yet? (I noticed this post was from Sept 2007). I'm having a heck of a time with it. Had no printing problems with Pub 03. I can set it all up to print on 11 x 17 (scale to size), but it will only print an 81/2 x 11 size onto the bigger paper.

printing issues
Are you setting up the printer first for 11 x 17? I've found the best workaround
for this is to go to the Advanced setup after you setup the printer, type the dimensions. Layout type--One page per sheet. You can then select the tabloid in the blank page setup. When you are ready to print you will have to select tabloid again, it will preview correctly and print correctly. -- Mary Sauer MVP http://msauer.mvps.org/ |
