Missing posts???
Hi PA,
Oh dear!!!! I'm to say the least......a little puzzled????? Yes!! when I clicked on the link it opened the newsgroup in my OE upper window pane downloaded for a little while (synchronized??) and showed the messages in the newsgroup..........BUT now I have two versions. One existing version "with" my "missing" post showing as the message above this one dated:- Compacting........or rather not quite.... 03 February 2010 17:31(this is the post I sent the other day when I asked you to hold on in jest of course One dated...01 February 2010 23:50 The other....03 February 2010 13:13(these two "have" actually vanished, even I have never seen them) I think it will be easier if I send some screenshots.....if I can that is???? Cheers...........Steve "PA Bear [MS MVP]" wrote in message ... I thought so. When composing a post or email in Word, only use ENTER (once) to begin a new paragraph. Missing posts???
Obviously I have posted an attached screenshot in the post above, is there
any sensitive personal data shown that may be a security risk?? If so, what is the best method to use. ( I tried to send it unzipped at around 280kb but got an error saying it was to large) Cheers....Steve. "moonraker" wrote in message ... Hi PA, Oh dear!!!! Missing posts???
Messages do get deleted from these newsgroups when an MVP is embarrassed not to be able to answer the question or if you call MVPs by the name of PIGS (Most Valuable Pigs) or if you answer the question correctly but MVP did not want a question to be answered because all Microsoft's customers are considered to be a bunch of W*nkers. Either way, I take the view that when my messages get deleted then clearly I am succeeding in my aims and I feel very happy after that and normally give a wo or three squirts on the face or in the mouth of Peter Folde's sister. hth moonraker wrote: Hi team, I have post to questions recently entitled "Compacting........or rather not quite...." Hi Bruce,
Can I ask? If I am sending new posts and can see them - but you cannot - "where" are the ones I can residing? Do posts in fact get listed on many different servers etc, around the world? Can you see my latest post above send a little earlier:- "Compacting or rather not quite"........06 February 2010 16:52 (As I can see it) Regarding your news server. I did ask some other questions in my last post to you......and answered some
of your questions Why is it that all of these posts are getting through to you, yet when I send new posts either just before or just after you are unable to see them? Missing posts???
Sorry. I didn't scroll down far enough.
Why is it that all of these posts are getting through to you, yet when I send new posts either just before or just after you are unable to see them? I have no idea as yet. The address you were posting with was showing fine. It is suggested that it end in .invalid and not in invalid.com. That is a possible reason for missing posts. Take a screen shot and then upload it he TinyPic: http://tinypic.com/ After the upload completes, copy the last URL listed: Direct link for layouts and paste it in the thread. Example: http://i48.tinypic.com/6xzw5i.jpg -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail] Imperial Beach, CA "moonraker" wrote in message ...
