Hiding an apointment in aShared Calendar
I have to share my outlook calendar (Office 2007) with fellow employees, but
I don't want them to see my personal appointments. If I mark my appointments as private, my fellow employees still can see the appointment as" Private Appointment". I want that they won't be able even to see these labels "Private Appointment". There should be an option in Calendar to hide completely some items in calendar. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Hiding an apointment in aShared Calendar
Let's flesh out your suggestion a little bit: If you could hide items, how would you suggest avoiding other people scheduling a meeting with you for those hidden times?

Hiding an apointment in aShared Calendar
I think the best solution would be, that the outlook will allow to hide
completely items only if the 'Show As' set to free and tentative. In case I make an appointment 'Show As' Busy or Out of Office and select private, then this item won't be hidden 'completely' and other users will see this item labeled as Private Appointment and won't be able to schedule anything for this time. Hiding an apointment in aShared Calendar
That's pretty much the way it works now. If someone does not have Reviewer access to your Calendar folder and you mark an appointment as Free, it shouldn't appear in the free/busy grid.

Hiding an apointment in aShared Calendar
Right, but I am talking about shared calendars. I don't want that people who
has read only access to my calendar will see any indication that I have a Private Item in the Calendar, except the cases I marked my private appointment as Busy or Out of the Office. For Example: I entered into my friend's birthday in the Calendar as the day event and marked it as Free. I don't want anyone who has an access to my calendar to know about this. Right now, they see: Private Apointment. "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: That's pretty much the way it works now.
