input mask for phone number?
Hi Folks,
Trying to use access to keep a simple record of people. Got most set up as I want but having trouble getting the leading zero to stick on phone numbers. In Australia all area codes start with a zero & all mobile phone numbers also start with a zero. Forget the zero when dialling & you go nowhere. I tried... (00) (0000) (0000) but still drops the first zero. Help in simple terms please? BruceM |

Are you using a numeric field for the phone number? Use text.
A general rule of thumb is never use numeric fields unless you need to do arithmetic on them. -- Doug Steele, Microsoft Access MVP http://I.Am/DougSteele (no e-mails, please!)
