Yes. You would store your documents in a folder and store the description of
eacxh document and its path in a table. From Access you could then search for a specific document, open Word and then open the document. For your pics, you would store them in a folder and then you could display them in a form. Email would need to be stored in a specific email folder. You could then Shell through Access to open Outlook or Outlook Express and open a selected email. Steve "alhakeem2001" wrote in message ... Thanks Steve,
But my question was if there is any access template that will link to those scanned documents and pics. this is still for home use not for work so I want to keep it simple, but handy and easy to control ! I know that Microsoft sharepoint server 2007 can do alot of that, but one of the good things that I would like to have is a user friendly interface which will enable me to add, view, modify, delete, save and control my contents, I have my documents scanned and well arranged in folders, So I'm ready for action, Now, what is your adive for me ? If you want to "modify" stored documents, you need to save the documents in
their native file format (such as a Word doc) and not as a scanned document. Otherwise you need additional functionality for editiing scannrd documents. Otherwise you need to design Access tables that hold information about your tables and then build functionality to accomplish your goals. My first post gives you a starting outline to achieve this.
