I download trial version of Microsoft Office - Standard suite. Word, Excel
and Powerpoint download OK - except Outlook. My operating system is Windows XP Professional with Service pack 2. Why doesn't Outlook install? -- JBoutlookhelp |

Outlook does not install
I only have Outlook Express. If this the problem, and I uninstall, do I lose
all my emails on file? I currently run Microsoft Office XP Professional with Frontpage. I looked for Outlook in Add/Remove Programs (only thing showed up was security updates for Outlook 2002) and Search Files but came back empty. Is Outlook hidden somewhere? -- JBoutlookhelp "DL" wrote: Outlook wont install if any other version is installed "JasonB" wrote in message ... If you installed Office XP, then it's likely you installed Outlook as part of Office. Click StartProgramsMicrosoft Office. I'll bet "Microsoft Office Outlook" appears in the list. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

It's not there also. Not sure why. It seems like day 1 never used it.
Thanks in advance. -- JBoutlookhelp "Brian Tillman [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: "JasonB" wrote in message ... I only have Outlook Express. Outlook does not install
There was already a red "x" there with a caption "not available".

Outlook does not install
From the "Add or Remofe Features" Outlook does appear along with the whole
list of Microsoft Office XP Professional Suite, but Outlook is the only one that has a red "x" in front of it, and caption "not available". -- JBoutlookhelp "Brian Tillman [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: "JasonB" wrote in message news It's not there also. Outlook does not install
I was able to upgrade from Office XP Pro to Office 2003 with no problem.
Both office suites existed side by side in my system, which is Windows 2000 SP4. I was able to install Outlook 2003 over XP and then delete the entire Office XP suite. "JasonB" wrote in message ...
