Outlook.pst is not compatible when I move to new system
You are using a newer version of *.pst then your present Outlook. The error message is because of that. Did you at any time have a version of OL higher then at present. Be it Trial or not

Outlook.pst is not compatible when I move to new system
Presumably you did check the views when you connected this pst to outlook?
"DMALS" wrote in message ... I ran scanpst after getting your msg below. It reported and then fixed two errors. However, the result was that then the recovered personal folders were all blank. Outlook.pst is not compatible when I move to new system
The error message you are getting means that the PST file you are using was
created in a newer version of Outlook than Outlook 2002. So it is simply not possible that your Outlook versions were the same. Moreover, you compounded the problem by exporting your data. Exporting does not permit you to control the format of the data file. So the error message is correct. Your PST file is not compatible with Outlook 2002. You can only open this file in a newer version of Outlook. Once you do, you can create a PST file in the older "Outlook 97-2002" format and copy the data into that file. That file will be compatible with Outlook 2002. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "DMALS" wrote in message ... As stated below. Since you are sure that my information is inaccurate, you do not need to continue trying to be of aid by repeating yourself. I'll thank you anyway for your MVP opinion. I suspect it was damaged in the crash, then, and that scanpst can't handle the particular corruption. Consider a commercial Office/pst recovery tool. Many of them are more capable than scanpst. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Outlook.pst is not compatible when I move to new system
that often happens because the pst is marked read only or was corrupted.
