I have several Publisher questions which have probably
been asked in the past. However, all my attempts to
search end up with null results. I tried the From,
Subject, and body searches - all null.

At times it is challenging to search the archives. Post your questions -
preferably one question per post.

Thanks for the info on Google Groups - I didn't now they
existed.

Should I assume that the search function in this
newsgroup is broken?

Try searching the Google Groups archive...
you may have better results. Tick the "Search
only in microsoft.public.publisher" radio button
and enter your search words.

No trick to it, make certain subfolders is ticked.
From your help:
To find messages in a newsgroup

1.. While in a newsgroup, on the Edit menu, point to Find, and then select Message
in this Folder.
2.. In the Look for text box, type the word (or words) you want to search for, and
then click Find Next.
3.. If your search returns too many results or doesn't give you what you want,
click the Advanced Find button and type in as much information as possible to refine
your search.
Note

a.. You can also find messages by resorting the columns (clicking headings such as
Subject, From, or Sent). Click the column heading to reorder the messages by that
column. For example, when you click the From column, messages are sorted
alphabetically by the sender's name.
