Hi there,

I want move the content of my existing pst-file in a new pst-file.
My question is now how to do this correct! Creating a new one is no
problem
also copying all content from the old to the new. But, how do say to
outlook "Please
use now the new file, no longer the old file.

Many greetings from Switzerland

Default New pst-file

Hi,

thanks for your help.

No I have a further question. Why is my old pst-file larger
than the new one (old = 250 MB, new = 239 MB)? Where are the rest?
And how did outlook copy the rules?
They are still existing in the new pst-file. I have only copied my Inbox
with
all subfolders, Sent Items, Calendar and Contacts. As far as I know the
rules are
stored in the pst-file, not in the outlook profile, isn't it? So it is
oddly how can
the rules be in the new pst-file when I have not copied them! Or does it
Outlook itself
once some items from a pst-files will be copied to a new file? And last,
why all rules
lost their relations to the folders. The structure of the file is the
same, isn't it?
I had to modify all folders in the rules.

BTW: Before I have copied the files content I have compressed it!

Ben
