(2007) Office has not been installed for the current user
I installed office 2007 beta2, and it ran well for a while. It has recently
stopped working: all apps (word, excel, outlook...) pop up with a message "app name is not installed for the current user. Please run setup". Re-running setup does not resolve the issue. I've seen posts on this issue with previous versions of office. Does this require registry modification? Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated! |

I am experiencing the same problem after upgrading to B2TR yesterday. I get
it for OneNote and Visio, while Excel, Outlook and Word and PPT is working just fine. Any Help Appreciated. I love 2007. Hi Per,
Did you apply the separate Technical Refresh update for Visio and any other 2007 products you had as Beta 2 ? ======== "PerS" wrote in message ... No, I didn't know there was a special one for Visio. I'll look for it, try it
and let you know. Thanks, Per "Bob Buckland ?:-)" wrote: Hi Per, Did you apply the separate Technical Refresh update for Visio and any other 2007 products you had as Beta 2 ? ======== "PerS" wrote in message ... I installed the 2btr for visio as well. The splash screen has now changed
saying 2btr for visio as well, but still same message. I get the same for OneNote. Any other ideas? (2007) Office has not been installed for the current user
Hi Per,
What 2007 products are listed in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel? OneNote and the Microsoft Office Professional updates are part of the basic Technical refresh. All of the other Office family of 2007 products have individual refresh updates. Other programs that share files with MS Office apps that may need updating separately are MS Office Accounting and MS Expression Web betas. =========== "PerS" wrote in message ... (2007) Office has not been installed for the current user
Bob,
OneNote started acting up after the b2tr upgrade, and so did Visio. Everything else seems to be working. These are the two products I installed as standalone after the full blown 'Office' installation. I see Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 (Beta) Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007(beta) and Microsoft Office SharrePoint Designer 2007 (Beta). all 567 Mb. I am runnig it on a Microsoft Server 2003 Enterprise. Vision and OneNote the only two requiring that won't start. Well, they start but then they exit? Do you know of a Office 2007 beta forum? (or how to fix it?) Per "Bob Buckland ?:-)" wrote: Hi Per, What 2007 products are listed in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel?
