Office Tools - Publish in Word
When I use the office tools functin and publish a report in Word, I am losing the boarders and other formatting that is apparent on the report if printed in Access. Is it possible to change the export from .rtf to .doc and maintain the field boarder formatting?

Check out MVP Stephen Lebans' Report Utilities page and download, which
expand the functionality of "Publish in Word". Here is a link: http://www.lebans.com/ReportUtilities.htm -- Cheryl Fischer, MVP Microsoft Access "Stuart" wrote in message ... I checked out the site but I do not think it is applicable. I am working in Access 2002 and I need to to find out if the conversion default can be changed, if not how do I retain the formatting (boarders etc) upon convertion to .rtf

Well, since the first listed feature at
http://www.lebans.com/ReportUtilities.htm is: 1) Export to MS Word. Output exact duplicate of a Report to RTF, including formatting and all graphics ... so, it certainly seemed to satisfy the deficiency you described. AFAIK, no, you cannot change the format from RTF to DOC. The options that I would suggest a 1. Test-drive the techniques in the Lebans Report Utilities download. If you find something that the code there does not or cannot do, Stephen always accepts suggestions for improvements 2. Print your reports to a PDF driver 3. Develop the formatting and boilerplate of your reports using Word Templates and use Automation to send data to the document. Cheryl Fischer, MVP Microsoft Access "Stuart" wrote in message ...
