Default Time Sheet function

I need assistance constructing a time sheet for
department employees.

Is it possible to calculate regular time AND overtime from
time start and time end?

In other words, enter only "time begin" and "time end",
calculate regular time restricted to 8 hours maximum,
and put any excess of the 8 hours in overtime?

That is very possible and doable. There are many examples on the web...some
of my favorites a

John Walkenbach:

Chip Peason:
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/overtime.htm

and David McRitchie's everything you wanted to know about time (but were
afraid to ask):

Thank you much Tim! I think that you have provided just
the info that I needed and I should be able to get this
thing up and running tomorrow.
