This isn't an Office issue. It's caused by the software you installed to
allow CD writing or the lack thereof. Having said that, working directly with Office files on removable media will frequently result in corrupted unusable documents. Please work from the harddrive and then copy the document to the removable media. aandcsmom wrote: does anyone know of a reason why i wouldn't be able to save files from office to my dvd/cd-writer drive? I'm having the same problem. I have created several documents in various applications and saved them to my hard drive. I wanted to also store them on CDs. But cannot save as to the CD drive. Why?

Is it a CD-RW drive or just a regular CD drive?

Please, Please, Please do not do "Save As" to removable media. Simply
copy them from the harddrive location to the removable media. If this does not work then the problem lies in the writing software. KLM wrote: I'm having the same problem.
