Default Need to reset user to defaults - not sure what to delete

I have a Visio 2007 user with a weird problem. When he adds a wall to a
document and right clicks to see the "Set Display Options" choice when he
selects it nothing happens. The menu just disappears.

I logged him out and logged in as admin and the feature works properly on
that profile. I can select "Set Display Options" and get the proper menu.

I reset all menus to defaults and also deleted his visio pip. The problem
persisted. He has no custom layout and no add-ins.

The helpdesk guy completely uninstalled Visio, rebooted, reinstalled and did
the service pack. Same problem for that user.

What do I need to remove from his user profile (and/or registry) to get him
completely to defaults so this menu works properly again?

Thanks

You state the menu just disappears, so does it appear briefly or not at
all? Verify that automated events are on and check the functionality with
another solution?

When you right click on an item like a wall you get the normal contextual
menu. One choice is "Set Display Options." If you select that choice the
contextual menu disappears. No display option window opens. So the choice is
always on the menu but selecting it does nothing.

If I log in as admin the selection works. So the problem is strictly this
one user's profile. That's why I want to know which files to delete from his
profile to set him back to defaults as if he has never used Visio 2007. I
tried deleting the pop file but it did nothing. I tried completely
uninstalling and reinstalling Visio but it did nothing. That means there are
files for Visio stored in his user profile that I can't find or identify.

Actually it sounds more like a restrictive permission issue for the user's
profile. Have you tested with any of the other solutions to see if the
same type of behavior is occurring? If it is a restrictive permission issue
there are no settings within Visio that will change this. You might
consider creating some type of policy which allows the user to run Visio
with elevated privileges.
