Default Spellcheck a table in Word

Word does not appear to check spelling in tables. Is there an option to
change this and if so, where will I find it in the application? Thanks.

Default Spellcheck a table in Word

Do you use special style(s) in the tables? In that case, the problem could be
that these style(s) have been defined with the setting Language "Do not
check spelling and grammar" turned on.

No special styles have been used, however, the document was first created in
the U.S. Would this make a difference?

Thanks.

Default spell checking inside of a table within word

If you are having a problem with typing text within a cell inside of a word document. Word is automatically set to not spell check words that are capitalized. You can turn off this feature by going to tools / spelling and grammer and unchecking the box that states "Ignore words in UPPERCASE". That fixed my problem. I hope this helps.
