Default How to make Word the default HTML editor

In Internet Options, the choices for default HTML editor are Notepad and
Excel. What about Word? Word used to be a choice, didn't it? How do I make
Word the default HTML editor if Word does not appear in the list? Is there a
way to add it to the list through a registry edit or something?

Hi SeaMaid,

In Word in Tools=Options=General=[Web Options]
check the box for Default Editor in the /File\ tab of
that dialog.

Both these boxes are already checked.

- Check if Office is the default editor for Web pages created in Office
- Check if Word is the default editor for all other Web pages

Anything else I can try to get Word included in Internet Options as HTML
editor? Would this have anything to do with Firefox being the default
browser? I changed Internet Explorer back to the default browser to see if
that might make a difference but it has not.

Where is that option located in the registry? Can I add Word to the list
that way?
