What is a good alternative to using MS Photo Draw?
Has Microsoft come out with a newer or better version of Photo Draw since
2000? If not, what is the recommended alternative for a replacement? |

... Has Microsoft come out with a newer or better version of Photo Draw since 2000? If not, what is the recommended alternative for a replacement? As the link Carey posted explains, Photo Draw has been discontinued. I don't know if there is a recommended image editor, and I have to confess that, even if there were, I probably wouldn't recommend it simply because Microsoft seems to switch "preferred" image editing programs with every version of Office. I'd probably go with something like Adobe Photoshop Elements instead. http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelwin/main.html In the past I would have recommended Paint Shop Pro by JASC, but I don't know if it's still good or not since Corel bought it. http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satelli...=1047025487586 Both of these products have free trial downloads -- I'd try them both and see which best meets your needs and is easiest for you to use. -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com |

What is a good alternative to using MS Photo Draw?
Hi Merriv,
You may want to drop by the Photodraw newsgroup (link below). Realdraw is one package that several of the Photodraw users have switched to http://www.mediachance.com/realdraw/ http://realdrawcafe.com/ (tutorials/samples) and then the new Microsoft graphics apps might be worth a look as well. http://microsoft.com/expression ========== "Merriv" wrote in message ...
