can't make color scheme work
I tried applying it on a word table I pasted in Publisher 7; when that didn't
work, I tried using a blank custom-sized business card--still didn't work! |

There is a tutorial here that shows you how to use Color Schemes.
http://cbt.brainstorminc.com/microso...ile=publisher4 When you open the fill menu the top row of colors represents the color scheme being used in the present Publisher publication. The tutorial will show you how to change any one of the scheme colors. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "editor10" wrote in message ... Thanks for your reply.
However, I had already seen this tutorial to troubleshoot before posting. Indeed, in the video everything works as expected, but in the document that I was working--even a brand new one-- I couldn't get to square one. I welcome further suggestions. can't make color scheme work
I don't use Color Schemes much. I do know if you use a default scheme color in
an object, the objects color will change when a different scheme is selected. Some objects will not have a scheme attached. Select a scheme, select the cells of your table, fill with a color in the scheme. The cells will change when you change the scheme. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "editor10" wrote in message ... Thanks for your reply. can't make color scheme work
Dear Mary,
It's nice of you to keep trying. Yet, what you suggest just didn't work. Neither in or out of the table. I have also since tried with a picture and a text box, thinking that one of them is bound top qualify as an 'object'. I'm beginning to suspect there's some computer bug playing with my application--there's something with my Internet Explorer 7 that has changed suddenly. Also, though I have clicked in 2 places the feature to receive an email when a repsonse is posted here, no notification is sent. Wearily, Ariela "Mary Sauer" wrote: I don't use Color Schemes much. There is a troubleshooting article here, it pretty much says what I tried to
post. It is for 2003 but it is the same for 2007 Troubleshoot using color schemes http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/pu...297661033.aspx -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "editor10" wrote in message ... can't make color scheme work
Thanks for pointing me to the article. There was something there which I
evidently missed when I read it first, after too many hours at the keyboard. It may be useful to clarify for others who run into this thread: Color schemes works in conjunction with the fill color feature on the picture toolbar. One must first select a color among the 8 that appear there after clicking on the arrow next to "fill." Then when one clicks on the color scheme task pane, you'll see how the color changes to the corresponding one in the row there.
