Default Importing Access 2007 (ACCDB) into Excel

Forever, I've created data links in Excel that imported Access queries.
This allows me to do higher arithmetic and prettier graphics. Now I've
moved to Office 2007 - probably a mistake. This is on a standalone
computer, not a corporate server. When I use the wizard to import, I do not
get all of the queries. I have access (no pun intended) to tables, and to
first level queries (those directly querying tables). Queries that query
queries (like Union queries, but simple selec queries also) do not show up.

What I want to do still works with mdb files.

Am I doing something wrong here?
