Default Outlook 2007 auto-forward rule does not work!

Hello.

I have an auto-forward rule in outlook 2007 for a specific message sent from
our app server to forward to a trading partner recipient. However, the
message is not forwarded. The recipient does not receive the message! If I
forward the message from my outlook 2007, he gets it!

What am I missing.

Thanks in advance.

Do other auto forward rules work to external recipients? If you doing this
from work then it could be a setting on the server to not allow auto forward
messages to go externally.

Thank you. That did it! Our Exchange 2003 server had the "Allow automatic
forward" unchecked. We changed it to allow auto-forward and rules with
auto-forward to the Internet now work.

Are you using Exchange and is the recipient's address an outside address?
The default behavior of Exchange is to disallow automatic replies and
forwards to external addresses.

Yes, that was it. After we changed the setting in our
Exchange 2003 server to "Allow ..." forwarding of
mail going out to the Internet, all auto-forward rules
are now working.

Thanks all.
