Default Embeded PowerPoint

I have this problem:
I have some .doc document and I want to insert powerpoint slide into it. So
I insert an object, I use inserting from file and I insert some powerpoint.
Until now everything OK. Default layout of this object is In text. When I
want to change it and use some different layout, all automatic shapes become
crashed... The curves are pixelated, text on those shapes looks also
terrible. However when I doubleclick on that slide, and powerpoint jumps in,
everything looks normally, just in word it looks terrible... Any idea how to
fix it?
I am using office 2003 with SP3
