Microsoft Office 2010 ( Office 14 )
Dear Office Expert -
I posted here because my 64-bit browser will not open the question post. I just installed Office 2010 beta on my new Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS. The 'Send Us a Smile' link does not work. I see also that my Outlook link also does not work and that the repair function in the Office 2010 program does not repair it. I see also that my 32-bit browser now also does not launch. I note that I could not launch Windows Media Player from the Taskbar but I removed it and replace it from the Start Menu and now it works. I am thinking that I must repair the 32-browser and try the Office 2010 repair function again. Am I going to need to use the repair function for the OS on the installation disk or is there an easier method? Am I going about repairing the links in the correct manner? Microsoft Office 2010 ( Office 14 )
I am not longer sure that Office 2010 beta 32-bit has broken links. When
reading the documentation for 2010 beta it stated most people should use the 32-bit version since the 64-bit version suffered broken links as of now. I have reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I then installed Norton 360 3.0 and my links I think still functioned. Then I installed the new driver from their website for ASUS Xonar D1 audio card. Then I installed my Office 2007 Small Business with all of the updates before opening a program. I then noted that my Office programs would not launch properly. I went to 'Properties' - 'Compatibility View' and checked run as administrator on each program. After a reboot my programs all run but inconveniently. My other three or four software suites run similarly. I note that for the past ten years I have had trouble getting the driver to load both stereo channels properly on my audio cards. The Xonar D1 is no exception however great it sounds when loaded properly. After all my software has been loaded I spent a day and a half trying to get a good load to no avail - including using the 'Device Manager.' It seems as though a program that can corrupt permissions on accounts must be a serious issue.
