What PowerPoint version are you using?
In PowerPoint 2002/XP and above, you can add Emphasis (Grow) effect. To do so, click Slide Show Custom Animation. Select the word, click Add effect Emphasis Grow/Shrink. Set the size to about more than 100%. Set the speed to slow so that it enlarge slowly. You will need to enable Hardware graphics acceleration. Without hardware graphcis accleration, the word will become jaggy when enlarged. To enable it, click Slide Show Set Up Show. Put a checkmark on Use Hardware graphics acceleration. Click Ok. Alternately, if you prefer not to use hardware graphics acceleration (which only applies to the current PC you are on), here's the workaround: "Retain image quality when Emphasis: Grow" http://pptheaven.mvps.org/tutorials/ImageEnlarge.html -- Shawn Toh (tohlz) Microsoft MVP PowerPoint Site Updated: Nov 15, 2006 Added PowerPoint 2007 Visual Tour (OfficeArt Effects) http://pptheaven.mvps.org PowerPoint Heaven - The Power to Animate "Mike" wrote: Hi HOw can I make the words shown in PPT gradually enlarging? Tohlz's second method works well but for completeness here's another way
Have two sets of text one at the small size and one at the large. Make sure the two sets of text are centred on each other (not neccessarily the same as centreing the text box) Give the large text an entrance animation of faded zoom (slow) and the small a with previous exit animation of diamond (v fast 0.5 sec delay). This gives a different effect. You might want to experiment with other short delays and other exits. -- email john AT technologytrish.co.uk "Glass" action buttons - http://www.technologytrish.co.uk/pptbuttons.html Personalised calendars - http://technologytrish.co.uk/calendars "Mike" wrote: Hi HOw can I make the words shown in PPT gradually enlarging? Mike,
What Tohlz and John said. And to add to that here's another way, if I understood your question correctly that is. Apply the emphasis effect 'change font size' to your text. Then apply an animation path to your text, choose left or right, drag the end red arrowpoint so it overlaps the green one. Animate it with previous. -- Luc Sanders (MVP - PowerPoint) "Mike" schreef in bericht oups.com... Hi HOw can I make the words shown in PPT gradually enlarging? Yes, like the movie showes. Thanks.
