Default animation on a key stroke

Is there some way to trigger an animation based on pressing a key? i want to
have several different animations on a page and only have them run if i
initiate each of them with a different key. i am not sure in what order i
will use the animation that is why i want to trigger it with a key instead of
a consequitive pattern. Thanks for any help.

There's no simple way to trigger animations with keystrokes (you would
probably need to buy or write an event handler in vb)

You can easily trigger animation in a non linear way though with a click on
a shape or action button on the slide.

Set up the animation , double click the entry for it in custom animation
pane and in the timing tab choose "triggers" start effect on click of .....

If you wish these shape can be invisible to the audience, 99% transparent
fill and no line. You'll need to remember where they are!!! Also dont be
tempted to go for no fill or 100% transparent as no fill won't work and 100%
transparent doesn't always work on all machines
