Default move outlook exp mailbox 2 2003 w/o merging it w/business email

I have outlook express & outlook on my home computer. Was using outlook
express for personal email and outlook for business when connected to company
server via vpn.
I loaded outlook 2003 and my business email automatically converted (moved)
to 2003.

I tried to move my outlook expess account to outlook 2003 so as to just use
outlook. However, when moving the outlook express email to outlook 2003 - it
merged with my business email and was a disaster. I had set up a new profile
already on 2003 for the outlook express email items.

I need to be able to access the two profiles separately and the email items
not be merged!

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks in advaance!

It doesn't sound like you created separate profiles at all. Did you do it
with the Mail applet in Control Panel?

Brian--thanks for your response. I did set up the accounts separate from the
business account.
Should I delete the accounts and set them up again? And then import the
email for the personal account from outlook express?

thanks again in advance!

Accounts are not profiles. Proflies are set up from Control Panel-Mail Icon-Profiles-New. Set up one for personal and one for business. Then use the option presented to prompt for a profile. You will have separate mail stores for your business and for your personal correspondence this way.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, 2houndmom asked:
