I notice it has a system requirement of Windows XP * SP3 *

I still come across computers with SP2 - I wonder if it will install on those?

Could you have a try?
BUT... WHY!!! about 60 Mo instead of about 20Mo for the 2007's and 2 Mo for
the previous.

The 2010 Viewer supports the new PPT 2010 features like embedded video and
new transitions, etc.
