How to : SUM - IF formula
Can anybody help me out here ?=20
Maybe a little example to explain a bit ... Let's say I have the following data : =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0A=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0B=B0 =B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0= =B0C=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0=B0D 1 =B0=B0Bruno______V________PMV=20 2 =B0=B0Jane______AMV________V_______ PMV 3 =B0=B0Bruno_______________AMV 4 =B0=B0Jane____AMV+PMEx_____V________V 5 =B0=B0Jane_____V I now want to count the times that, with Jane in the A=20 column,=20 I have V or AMV or PMV in the whole cell or part of the=20 cell. So for Jane, it would be=20 4 times V =3D 4 times 1 =3D 4 3 times (AMV or PMV) =3D 3 times 0.5 =3D 1.5 Thanks for your assistance !! |

Why is PMV 3*0.5, could understand if 1 + 0.5?
Can there be 3 parts or more in a cell? Do you want a totals answer (5.5), or two parts (4 & 1.5)? -- HTH RP (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "bruno" wrote in message ... V =3D a full day of vacation
PMV =3D half a day of vacation, being the afternoon AMV =3D half a day vacation, being the morning It is possible that in one cell, there is AMV+PMEx in that case, I have to count half a day for the AMV So more parts can be in a cell All V (counting for 1) and AMV or PMV (counting for 0.5)=20 can be in one total answer Thanks ! -----Original Message----- Why is PMV 3*0.5, could understand if 1 + 0.5?
