Default How to restore "Lost ALL e-mails" after saving

Hi:
I saved all e-mails by using, .... Tool - Option - Maintenance ..... and
stored in 'New Folder' in My Document.

However, when I changed name from "New Folder" to "OE Backup," all
e-mails are gone, although names of all folders are there, such as Inbox,
Sent, Delete and etc. are there. They are completely empty, thus I lost all
e-mails accumulated over two years.

How to restore all e-mail lost?

Thanks for your help in advance.

You didn't save your messages, you moved the entire OE message store
folder. See this and then get it back where it was.

How do I move my store folder:

Default How to restore "Lost ALL e-mails" after saving

Bruce Hagen:
Thanks for the response.

As you stated, I didn't save, only moved. After that, I renamed 'New
Folder' which contains 'moved e-mails,' to 'O.E. Backup.'
Strange enough, in this 'renamed folder/O.E. Outlook Express' does not
contain any e-mails. Also, 'New Folder' does not contain all
e-mails/folders either.

Just wonder where those e-mails/folders went after renamed from 'New Folder'
to 'O.E. Backup?'

Any clues how to find 'lost folders/e-mails?'

Do an Advanced search and include Hidden Files and Folders. Search for:

*.dbx

You should be able to find the folder with your messages, (hopefully). If
you do, note the location and in OE: File | Import | Messages | Outlook
Express 6 and point to the folder you moved. This should import the
messages into the new message store which is located at the path shown in
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder.
