Default Cannot update Outlook

I cannot update the service pack 2 or 3.

When I do I get a message saying "The expected version of the product was
not found on your system".

I read a KB on this which seems to relate to a network install. This is a
laptop with Outlook Office 2003 SBE with BCM. Service Pack 1.

In the Outlook install log it reports it cannot find a product for this
update.

I have Web Components Version 3 installed.

I have tried to install the full file version (not directly from the
download site etc) and the smaller version by direct installation but both
produce the same result.

thanks

As far as I'm aware office is only up to SP2
How are you attempting to update?
