Default Legend has a long memory

Revising graphs from plots of 4 values down to 1 value. Legend has reverted
to using (Y value) dates as a legend. I can delete each "legend", but when
I redraw the graph, the old (dates) are back. How can I get the new,
correct and only, legend to show???
Thx

Dave -

right click on the chart, select Source Data from the pop up menu.
Click on the series tab, and select a series. Put the appropriate label
in the box marked Name, or click in the box, then click in the
appropriate cell with the mouse.
