Default 100% document size

The menu symbol for the on-sceen document size options (50%, 100%, 150%,
etc.), is missing from the menu bar (including the hidden drop-down menus)
when I open up a Word document. For some reason, it shows up when I click on
"print preview."
I am not sure why it is no longer available on my main document page. Please
help. Thanks.

Default 100% document size

Open Tools | Customize. On the Commands tab, in the View category, select
the Zoom box (which is the very first item in the Commands list) and drag it
to the desired toolbar.

Click Tools | Customize. On the Commands tab, under "Categories," click
View. From the "Commands" box, drag the Zoom control back to where you want
it.

Alternatively, click the Toolbars tab. Then click the toolbar or menubar
that you want to restore, and click the Reset button.

If both of the above suggestions fail, see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/apperrors/missingmenusetc.htm.
