Default Flag for Follow up

I have noticed that when using the "flag for follow up" icon in any directory
(or subdirectory) other than "Inbox" or "Contacts" the reminder when set does
not come up in the Reminder box. Please explain why.

Many of us have created directories and subdirectories with emails and put
follow-up reminders on some of the emails. If these reminders do not activate
at the desired time, we may forget the matter that we were trying to remind
ourselves about.

This is very problematic. Are we doing anything wrong in terms of settings.

Default Flag for Follow up

Unless you are using Outlook 2007 or a 3rd party addin for Outlook reminders
will only fire from the default Inbox, Calendar, Tasks and Contacts folders.
