Form/Subform Problem in Access 2003
I have a form with a subform that is causing me a problem. Most of the data
in the main form is defaulted from the exhibitor record and the current date. The subform contains detail lines which are the primary data that need to be entered. In previous versions of Access, entering data in a subform would automatically create a record in the main form, and everything was fine. In Access 2003, however, this does not seem to be the case, as I keep finding "orphan" detail lines for this form with no main record and getting calls from my users saying they put data in and it's not coming up when it should be. The work-around I have is to have the users manually edit the fields in the main form, but the whole purpose of creating default values is to avoid the users putting in wrong information. Is there another way to get the main form to save a record if there is information put into the subform? -- Amy E. Baggott "I''m going crazy and I''m taking all of you with me!" -- Linda Grayson |
