Can I run Office 2000 in Windows XP? I'm buying a new
computer and would like to install Office 2000 on it.

Yes, If your version is not OEM (installed by manufacturer when you purchased)
insert the installation cd,
If it does not initiate the auto run, go to:
start menu/run/setup.exe
Update to the latest service pack after you install:

Office 2000 applications will work with any upgrade version, XP or Office 2003
