Opeing Word Docs on our Intranet
Greetings all,
When users of our intranet click on a Word document link, the document opens in Word, and then the Web toolbar always opens in the center of the screen. Users than have to click on it to close that toolbar. How do we stop this extremely annoying "feature?" Thanks, Larry |

So, I guess there's no solution to this issue?

No, I guess a better guess is that nobody who has read this posting has
and idea to help. I also don't know directly how to help as I've never seen that problem, nor can think at the moment of the root cause. I would suggest you look further at any config you have special at your place of work which controls which toolbars will be loaded with Word. I'm pretty sure all this controlled completely by work. You should also see the FAQ's at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/index.htm and if necessary ask in a newsgroup more dedicated to Word. Hope this is useful to you. Let us know. rms larry wrote: So, I guess there's no solution to this issue? larry wrote in message ... Just guessing here but how about docking the "Web toolbar" so that it is
"already open" and will not subsequently open in the middle of the page? larry wrote: So, I guess there's no solution to this issue? larry wrote in message ... Thanks Bob,
Yeah, we can dock it, but then the bloody thing is there all the time. I just wish MS developers would stop trying to "help" us users so much! :-) Larry "Bob I" wrote in message ... I suppose you could remove all the buttons and make it a LOT less
intrusive! :-) larry wrote: Thanks Bob, Yeah, we can dock it, but then the bloody thing is there all the time.
